About Us

Chrissie Batts and Claire Horton have both grown up with a passion for food. Claire Horton, a Chattanooga native, attended the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City and did her internship at The Food Network. She gets her passion for cooking from her close-knit, very large family. She has grown up around food and attributes her passion for the culinary field to mother and grandmother.
Chrissie Batts trained with White Hat Catering in Portland, Oregon before heading back to the south. Originally from Little Rock Arkansas, Chrissie likes to keep food simple and homegrown, showing honor to the South with a slight twist.
Chrissie and Claire are the executive chefs and owners of CHATT-a-FOODIE Personal Chef & Catering.
CHATT-a-FOODIE was born out of a passion for making uncomplicated, fun and tasty food. Our goal is to serve Chattanooga with prepared meals that make life easier and of course taste better. CHATT-a-FOODIE is our dream in the making and we thank you for the opportunity to share our love of great food with you.
